Hi, Iā€™m Cristina Neuenschwander.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I am passionate about walking alongside others on their journey toward wholeness and healing. I work primarily with adults, adolescents, and children experiencing a wide range of emotional or behavioral issues.

All of us have experienced suffering or relational brokenness within our stories that can feel confusing or hard to address on our own. While we are most often harmed in relationship, it is also in relationship that we heal. My role as your therapist is to be a companion on your healing journey of bringing clarity out of confusion and pain. It is my hope that the awareness you gain in our time together will inform new ways of being that bring healing, wholeness, agency, and greater happiness to your life.

My Approach

I work from a number of relational therapy modalities, primarily informed by attachment theory, family systems theories, and narrative therapy. I also believe in approaching therapy through a holistic lens, considering the body, mind, and spirit as interconnected. Our work will include exploring your story and the ways that you have been shaped by your environment, culture, and relationships. This will include discovering how past harms are playing out in your present-day reality. In our time together we will also explore your current and past relational patterns to gain insight into the origins of your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. It is my hope that in our sessions, you will experience the relief of engaging the hard moments of your story in the presence of a supportive witness as you move toward healing.

In addition to my clinical training, my husband and I have worked in ministry for almost 10 years. This has afforded me the opportunity of working with a diverse population of couples, families and youth.
